I have been recording and editing video since the 90s with thousands of hours behind the keyboard of a custom built PC that could crash at any moment rendering a 1px change hoping it would grab you the right way and maybe get people to cheer or laugh or engage with the content. I miss the work and the people that made me better at the work and those that helped me along the way - it would have been much shorter without help. It was exciting at what felt like the dawn of the DSLR revolution and Internet era with content/knowledge sharing pushing the latest techniques to maximize cinematic storytelling. Along the way I dabbled in motion and 3D graphics.
Wedding, Documentary, and Personal Project Footage was most often Canon T3i or 5D Mk2 with Nikkor adapted to Canon EF or Canon EOS glass with the Magic Lantern Firmware hack.
Sideshow videos included footage on the heavy Canon T3i, Nikon loser camera, and Red One camera on Zeiss and Nikon glass - credits are often shared with Stephen Lubin on Editing, Lightning, Staging, Interviewing, and Broll.
